Wanna get out of bed, but my heads too heavy...
11:33 a.m. | 2002-12-03 I don’t know if anyone can be successful against the destruction of mankind, for we are strangling ourselves and a majority of the people don’t even realize. They don’t realize how fatal the Earth’s population growth (over thousand and thousand of years) will destroy us and even fewer know that totalitarian agriculture (i.e. farming for the masses) is feeding this. More food equals more people and the more people you have the more food you need, it is a vicious cycle as they say. The Earth’s population will double in the next 40 or less years and then the next time it doubles it will probably take on 25 years and then 15 years and 10 and then 7 and then less and less until the ecosystem collapses. This comes from years and years of mankind thinking they rule the planet, that it is their own and they need to conquer it. That has been “civilized” man’s credo since the beginning of totalitarian agriculture in the Fertile Crescent of the Middle East and I don’t see a way we can mend what we’ve fucked up and I don’t see a way to avoid a future disaster. So many people, SOOOO MANY PEOPLE don’t know what is going on. It is a global crisis, the worst we have ever seen and people don’t care because they have big screen TV’s and cars and they need to think about making money, even if it’s to survive. “Civilized” man is the most stressed out culture the Earth has ever seen. Modern “Savages”, as they’re miscalled (pygmies, aboriginals of Australia), do not live stressful lives why? It is because they live by the laws of nature. They do not deny other animals’ access to food. They do not kill off other animals’ food supply. They do not play God. They do not decide what is good and evil. We do. We do. We do. And how, tell me, how, if you have any idea, how we can save ourselves from this slow suicide? Another interesting fact about “savages”; they do not have any Salvationist religions because they do not need to be saved and neither do we except from our own bloated charred corpulent cancerous hands. OK. I have done my spiel; I hope I didn’t bore you. I got most of this passion from the book Ishmael and Story of B by Daniel Quinn. You should read, indeed, indeed. So, that is sometimes why I am depressed. I see a train coming at my family and I have no idea how to save them, especially since they seem so happy because you know when people are happy, they don’t like rain on their parade. I want to be the world’s greatest thunderstorm. |
