The answer is blowing in the wind...

Life is good. Last week, I saw "the 25th Hour" for free with Paul and Jacqueline then I went to a Cool School party where there was drinking of drinks and smoking of smokes. Friday there was a schindig at Rob's where there was beer flowing and foosball going like wildfire. Saturday was the giant Peace Rally in San Fran. I went with Rob and the bus route from Santa Rosa was full by Petaluma, isles packed and people stacked. The rally was awesome, there were so many signs, my favorite was "Vaginas for peace" and since I had brought Jagermeister in my satchel, we were chanting "Jager drinkers for peace!" We were then down on the Embarcadero, enjoying the scene and people and atmospheric pressures when Rob spotted an old High School bud with a pot leaf on his shirt. A 50-something sweet old women came up and asked him if he supported the leaf and he was "Yeah" so she was like "How would you feel about this?" and pulled out a doobie that we proceeded to pass around and shorten considerably. Later, Rob and I marched ahead of the parade and then back into it a few rows back and then ahead of it again, where we got spots about 6 rows back from the main stage. Martin Sheen was impassioned. Joan Baez did a couple tunes. Bonnie Raitt did a Jacksom Browne tune. Barbara Lee was in force. The snipers on the roofs kept freaking me out. It was jam packed. Good speakers, hungry audience, fun audience loving the revolution, being ardent patriots whilst having lots of fun. Organizers had a head count off 200,000 to 300,000, so together with DC, it was close to 1/2 a mil and far past a million with coinciding world-wide peace demonstrations. I met up with a couple cats I know from AmeriCorps in SoCal there, Stephanie and Courtney. Stephanie is amazing and I only knew here about a week. I plan on going to the Telluride Bluegrass fest in June with her. We only got to hang for about 45 minutes before the group she was with had earlier decided to leave back for Santa Cruz. Rob and I were going to go to the Swinging Utters show, but were way to tired to wait around, so we caught the bus back to Rohnert Park, in silent reflection. I watched the local news that night for overhead helicopter shots. Sunday, I got to chill and watch some football and play some B-Ball with Dan, Paul and Rob, all taller than I, two of them coming in at 6'7". It was good sweaty aerobic fun. I only rolled my ankles slightly twice. I am seeing Tampa Bay winning against Oakland in the Bowl that is Super, by name. Monday, AmeriCorps through Sonoma State U in partnership with a local youth volunteer organization, awareness organizations, fire, police and the church, we had a Day ON, not a Day OFF for MLK Day building learning centers for local schools. These centers are basically a book shelf and a few stools. There was a book drive also going on and a mini-carnival for the kiddies and speakers and free food. I was there to set up and to tear down. I got a lot of free food from it. Waaaaay too much bread. I dream dreams of deserts of bread and tortilla chips with no moisture in sight. I have gourged myself on carbs for the last time. Talk about feeling like crap! I feel dehydrated, tired and slow. What takes care of that? Water? Maybe I will try this new-found cocky idea. So that was my weekend and a zesty one, at that. I can't wait for the Chapelle party tonite at Ricardo's. Blessings to all with love in their hearts.
